Les Ecoles de la rue du Louvre
In order to help generations of future talent, we sponsor the graduating classes of an exceptional jewellery school: Ecoles de la rue du Louvre in Paris.
July 2013: After four years of intense training, the graduates of the Piaget class now hold a Higher Jewellery Diploma. This qualification recognises their full mastery of all jewellery-making and related graphic and computer graphic techniques.
April 2013: The students of the 3rd Piaget class of the BJOP schools took a trip to Switzerland last April. During their time there, the students were able to discover the many professions of the jewellery and watch industry by touring the production and design workshops of the Piaget manufacturing site.
To distinguish the most creative students and those who best master the art of jewellery making, four Piaget prizes were awarded during a ceremony held at the Piaget Time Gallery.
November 2011: As sponsor of the class of 2009, Piaget helped organise the "Jazz / BJOP evening." The evening showcased students' incredible work in a theme dear to Piaget, the Jazz. The beautiful creations that were displayed, revealed the path taken by future jewellers.
The Centre de formation professionnelle des Arts Appliqués de Genève (CFPAA)
Piaget supports the Centre de formation professionnelle des Arts Appliqués de Genève, funding an annual Design Prize and Jewellery Prize for the best students of the graduating class.
June 2013: This year, the students of the CFPAA were asked to take inspiration from the world of high fashion in relation with a gala celebration. The winner was awarded the two Piaget prizes honouring their creative and qualitative achievement.
Centre Interrégional de Formation des Montagnes Neuchâteloises (CIFOM)
For several years, the Côte-aux-Fées Piaget manufacturing site has been collaborating with the Interregional Training Centre of the Neuchâtel Area Mountains (CIFOM), a school for future watchmakers. In addition to its annual participation in the graduation ceremony and its financial support, Piaget offers two apprenticeships to the students of the CIFOM each year. The manufacturing plant also welcomes students for an encounter with the Piaget watchmakers and a tour of the workshops.
The Creative Academy
We collaborate with the Creative Academy, an international design school in Milan, offering young designers specific applied arts courses in the areas of jewellery, watchmaking and accessories.
Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program
We provide annual financing for the Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program (WOSTEP).
Institute of Swiss Watchmaking (IOSW)
The ever-increasing demand for luxury watches translates into a growing demand for qualified craftsmen and women to service these products. To help meet this demand, the Institute of Swiss Watchmaking was founded in 2008 by Richemont to provide dedicated, career-minded individuals with the education and training to become a part of this exciting profession.
Three schools based in Dallas (NAIOSW - North American Institute of Swiss Watchmaking), Hong-Kong (HKIOSW - Hong Kong Institute of Swiss Watchmaking) and Shanghai (CNIOSW – China Institute of Swiss Watchmaning) were opened between 2009 and 2011. These schools prepare students for the internationally recognised WOSTEP certification, a symbol of "Swiss made" excellence in this field.
Piaget’s partnership with the IOSW is a valuable complement to its training policy. The goal is to develop and maintain, on a worldwide basis, a combination of
know-how and expertise in the field of high-end watchmaking that will enable the brand to offer its customers high-quality local service.
"Futurs en tous genres" days
Piaget supports the "Futur en tous genres" days, welcoming each year the children of employees who wish to discover the many professional fields of jewellery and watchmaking. This discovery allows them to broaden their horizons and enables them to think independently about their possible future profession.
