Renowned Swiss watchmaker and jeweler Piaget presented the “Master of Ultra-Thin” exhibition together with Cortina Watch, a leading watch retailer in Singapore. It was held in Paragon, one of the luxury malls along Orchard Road, from the 15th to the 19th of February 2012.
Piaget is proud to share its journey in the Haute Horlogerie industry for more than 130 years, this time, in particular, using its Altiplano watch collection to exhibit its total commitment towards exquisite craftsmanship and relentless pursuit towards excellence. The exhibition has been segregated into two main sections – heritage and collection area. The heritage area consists of selected pieces from its museum collection, notably the original 9P and 12P Calibres which allows visitors to have a glimpse of Piaget’s rich history in ultra-thin movement making. In the other section, Piaget houses its iconic Altiplano collection, showcasing its array of ultra-thin watches. The collection includes an Altiplano 43 mm watch, which is currently the thinnest automatic watch in the world.
Visitors are taken on personalised tours of the exhibition, taking time to admire Piaget’s timeless pieces and learn about its mastery as a manufacture – from designing, creating, assembling and right down to the exemplary finishing of the movements and watches through multimedia aids. All in all, engaging visitors into the world of Piaget.
