The ultra-thin movements
830P movement
Ultra-thin, hand-wound
Manufacture Piaget 830P ultra-thin hand-wound mechanical movement.
Measuring only 2.5 mm thick, the 830P movement is an ultra-thin hand-wound mechanical movement boasting an greater power reserve than its predecessors. The delicacy of its mechanism and its component parts required all the expertise of the watchmaker Piaget and is a direct descendant of the legendary 9P movement.
Understated in design, the 830P movement features a balance with screws, as befits an example of Fine Watchmaking. The modular movement has given rise to numerous heirs, including the 832P movement, an adaptation of the original movement whose gear train, on the dial side, has been modified to create a 24-hour display. Finally, the circular Côtes de Genève, pearled mainplate, bevelled bridges, blued screws and engraved Piaget coat of arms round off this exceptional movement, while remaining true to the aesthetic codes cherished by the Swiss watching brand.
