Piaget Polo FortyFive watch

Titanium perpetual calendar watch - Piaget Luxury Watch G0A36001

Watch G0A36001

Perpetual calendar, mechanical, ultra-thin

If the memory of the past does indeed serve to write the future, the Piaget Polo FortyFive is certainly a vivid illustration of this maxim. An audacious adaptation of the famous Piaget Polo, this resolutely sporty creation has a 45 mm diameter case reminiscent of the 45 minutes of a polo match. Its contours have been carefully designed for maximum comfort and it introduces certain combinations of materials for the first time ever in Piaget watches, particular importance being given to top-quality finishes. This model in titanium with a distinguished touch of pink gold features an injected rubber strap adorned with pink gold-gadroons and closed by a buckle with an adaptable summer/winter clasp. Waterproof at a depth of 100 metres, it is equipped with an 855P self-winding movement with second time-zone and perpetual calendar displays and retrograde day and date functions. This model is a true first in the Piaget Polo collection.

Perpetual Calendar Movement: sovereign mastery of time

Perpetual Calendar Movement: sovereign mastery of time
Following on from models such as the tourbillon, the tourbillon relatif and the chronograph, Piaget is pursuing its quest for horological complications by presenting the new Manufacture Calibre 855P with perpetual calendar. Mechanically programmed to cope with the irregularities of our Gregorian calendar up until the year 2100, the perpetual calendar is one of the major complications of the watchmaking art, as well as one of the most widely used. Measuring 5.6 mm thick, the Manufacture Piaget Calibre 855P self-winding movement was designed, developed and produced entirely in-house. It displays the hours, minutes, small seconds at 4 o’clock, month and leap years at 12 o’clock, along with retrograde day of the week and date displays at 9 and 3 o’clock respectively. In addition to the latter retrograde indications, this Calibre 855P stands out from most ordinary perpetual calendars by the addition of a double-hand dual time-zone display appearing in a sub-dial at 8 o’clock. The self-winding Piaget Calibre 855P beats at a cadence of 21,600 vibrations per hour and is endowed with an approximately 72-hour power reserve.
