Sapphire crystal case back. Manufacture Piaget 838D ultra-thin mechanical skeleton movement set in white gold with manual winding and small seconds. Movement set with 219 brilliant-cut diamonds (approx. 0.5 ct) with 8 black sapphires (approx. 0.2 ct).

With its round exquisitely thin case intended for ultra-thin movements, the Dancer watch is a model of classical elegance. It is distinguished by its exceptional gem-setting that has enabled it to safeguard its distinctive codes, particularly the links in the form of dumbbell motifs featuring in the design of the bracelet. The bracelet itself is the fruit of the unrivalled expertise acquired by Piaget's master craftsmen. Its links are joined with rare suppleness and match perfectly the curves of the wearer's wrist. This model in white gold, 41 mm in diameter and fully set with shaped diamonds, is the first in its collection to include a gem-set skeleton movement. The 838D ultra-thin mechanical skeleton movement thus takes pride of place at the heart of the timepiece, which thus becomes a jewel of unrivalled delicacy.

An adaptation of the 838S skeleton movement, the 838D gem-set skeleton movement in white gold is another ultra-thin hand-wound skeleton movement measuring just 3.1 mm thick and belonging to the third generation of ultra-thin movements from the watchmaker Piaget.
Its bridges, drawn on both sides, once again offer a breathtaking view of all its components, including its balance with screws. Embodying the unique expertise of the watchmaker Piaget, the 838D gem-set skeleton movement is distinguished by the gem-setting of its ultra-thin bridges, an adornment demanding precise work of the highest order. Its mainplate is set with 174 diamonds and its screws are hidden by seven black sapphires or rubies cut into cabochons, emphasising its exceptional visual impact. A guilloche design reminiscent of the sun and the divisions of time radiate from the centre of the carriage, visible on the back of the movement.
The circular-grained mainplate and bridges, hand-drawn and bevelled, and the blued screws round off this exceptional movement, while remaining true to the aesthetic codes cherished by the Swiss watchmaking brand.
