Watch G0A37205
Ultra-thin, mechanical, yellow gold, diamonds, jade
In 1964, Piaget went beyond the limits of what was possible by pushing mechanical performance and the watchmaker's art to the extremes of miniaturisation. With the recent availability of new ultra-thin movements, the 9P and 12P, the Manufacture launches what will remain one of its greatest creative traditions: hard stone dials. An innovative know-how, emblematic of Piaget, perpetuated today in its Altiplano collection, proving that technique and sophistication, however great they might be, can be comfortably housed in a small space. A numbered edition, available exclusively in the network of Piaget boutiques, each watch highlights the uniqueness of a type of stone. Fitted with Piaget's 430P ultra-thin, hand-wound mechanical movement, this 34 mm diameter gem-set watch combines yellow gold and jade. Considered in China to be the royal stone, jade has great importance and symbolises qualities such as wisdom, justice and goodness. Linked to the exercising of imperial power, it was also used for religious, decorative and everyday objects. Today, it still continues to fascinate its many enthusiasts.
